26th May - Doctoral workshop

General Program of the doctoral workshop

  • Friday 25th May: 8pm - dinner with all the participants of the workshop in the city center of Nantes: meeting at 8pm at the restaurant Les Petits Saints (1 Rue Saint-Vincent, 44000 Nantes) (the organiser of the 28th CIRP design conference will offer you the restaurant)
  • Saturday 26th May: 9am - 12am - part I of the doctoral workshop in the meeting room S018 of the LS2N Laboratory at Ecole Centrale de Nantes (building S - ground floor - right side) - direct meeting in building S (access map to Ecole Centrale)
  • Saturday lunch near the lab: Brasserie les Facultés (2 Rue du Fresche Blanc, 44300 Nantes) (offer by the organiser)
  • Saturday 26th May: 2pm - 5pm - part II of the doctoral workshop in the room S018 of the LS2N Laboratory, building S

Scientific planning

Each phD student will have:
  • 20min presentation (use of Powerpoint is possible)
  • 20min questions/remarks: 1 phD, señors and other phD
Oral presentation should address the following main points:
  1. Problem statement/Objective of the thesis in the context of Production Design 
  2. Theoretical background and research gap
  3. Research questions
  4. Methodology and data
  5. Expected results and contribution to theory and practice

For every slot of 40minutes, they are some role attributions:
  1. one phD presenter
  2. one phD who will ask the first question
  3. one phD as time keeper (20min presentation + 20min questions)
